Transparent, crystal-clear waters bathe San Vincenzo, hemmed in by a thick pine forest and lush Mediterranean scrub.
The splendid beach, of fine golden sand, stretches for many kilometres and is home to bathing establishments, alternating with large stretches of sandy shore equipped with Punti Azzurri, where assistance is available. Dotting the shoreline is the ancient Tower of San Vincenzo, built in the 14th century, which gave its name to the town, along with other fortifications and lookouts, once used to defend the coast from pirate assaults.
The air is clear and a light breeze favours the practice of numerous sea sports. An ancient and important port of call for trade, today the tourist port of San Vincenzo, capacious and equipped, can accommodate hundreds of berths.
